User Experience Design

Gathering qualitative data, create different approaches (also in co-creation & participatory processes), test them and refine them is the essential part of my approach designing interactive systems and services. I strongly believe, only users or affected people can tell you the true obstactles they face in their specific area of context.

Dynamic Corporate/Cooperative Design & Identity

During my studies, my second focus, beside user experience design was set on, corporate/cooperative design and identity. I strongly believe that people shape the identity of an organisation (be it profit or an non-profit) and it is dynamic in time, as well as in different places. The interaction and synergies are strong drivers and extracting the “identity” and defining values on an organizational level is the challenge in a continuously changing world.

Game-Thinking

Using brain stimulating processes, such as rewarding, fullfilling experiences and generating flow experiences is the aim of my daily work as a designer. Understanding Game-Thinking as an approach to motivate user and not mocking user is the key element to apply game-thinking in the design process and product.

Hello,

I’m Melanie and I’m most of the time an user experience designer, but I have many more skills, which I can bring into my daily work.

After my master thesis at the münster school of design (Design factulty at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster), I moved back to Baden-Württemberg. Currently living and working near the beautiful black forest. I love travelling to explore new places and cultures.
